Attended Hokkaido Macintosh Users' Group meetings occasionally.
Took Heidelberg College graduate course in Introduction to Computers, May-June, 1998.
Developed Web site for Heidelberg College Japan (through 3/99).
Completed 1^st semester of On-Line Teaching though TESOL and developed writing course on Blackboard.com, May, 2001.

Language Development

Took Ministry of Education Kanji Proficiency Test, 2/14/95 and 10/15/95.
Sang with Sapporo Academy Chorus in opera in February, 1994 (all in Japanese).
Sang in concerts on 10/9/95 and 5/22/96 (second part in Japanese, all memorized).
Won 2nd place in Japanese Speech Contest sponsored by Sapporo International University, 11/9/97.
Attended an international symposium on Faculty Development at Universities of Education for the 21st Century at the Iwamizawa campus of Hokkaido University of Education, 7/30-31/99.
Attended Step-J classes in Japanese, Advanced Level, once a week at Sapporo Shimin Kaikan.
