Do you have a learning disability?

You are excellent with mechanical things, but have trouble with reading and writing.

__

You knew you were as smart as your friends, but could not keep up with schoolwork.

__

You want to make a good impression, but usually mismatch your clothes.

__

You learn well when someone shows you how, but cannot follow written directions.

__

You read and write well enough, but cannot balance a checkbook.

__

You like people and mean well, but often say the wrong thing.

__

You know your way around until a landmark is torn down or a street is torn up.

__

You have become fairly successful, but still cannot spell.

__

You can talk your way out of almost any situation, but cannot express your thoughts on paper.

__

You know what you want to say, but cannot get the words out.

__

You understand almost anything you read, but are easily confused when listening to someone talk.

Any of the above characteristics can be true for anyone. However, if any of them significantly interferes with your ability to function, or if you say, "That’s me," to a few of them, you may have a learning disability.
