You are excellent with mechanical things, but have trouble with reading and writing. |

You knew you were as smart as your friends, but could not keep up with schoolwork. |

You want to make a good impression, but usually mismatch your clothes. |

You learn well when someone shows you how, but cannot follow written directions. |

You read and write well enough, but cannot balance a checkbook. |

You like people and mean well, but often say the wrong thing. |

You know your way around until a landmark is torn down or a street is torn up. |

You have become fairly successful, but still cannot spell. |

You can talk your way out of almost any situation, but cannot express your thoughts on paper. |

Any of the above characteristics can be true for anyone. However, if any of them significantly interferes with your ability to function, or if you say, "Thats me," to a few of them, you may have a learning disability.
