A Guide for Making an Outline
Using Microsoft Word
- Formatting
- Type Outline in the center at the top.
- Under Format (書式), select Bullets and Numbering (箇条書きと段落番号「かじょうがきとだんらくばんごう」), then Outline Numbering (アウトライン番号).
- Click on the second box.
- Choose henko (変更).
- Indent the sub-points.
- Indent Left Alignment (左インデントからの距離「きょり」) as follows:
- (A) 7.5mm
- (1) 15mm
- (a) 22.5mm
- Indent (字下からげとぶらしたげ) as follows:
- (I) 7.5mm
- (A) 17.5mm
- (1) 25mm
- (a) 35mm
Under Format (書式), select Paragraph (段落), then Indents and Spacing (インデントと). Change the Spacing After (段落後) to 6 or 12 points.
As you type the outline, you can move to main points or sub-point by using the TAB button or the arrows in the top right of the (書式) tool bar.
